At just 20, Nicole Selivan fled war-torn Ukraine and left behind her emerging music career to start anew in Brussels. There, under the name SALVIA, she formed a band with Arno De Ros and Tom Stokx (of The Haunted Youth). Blending dreampop, new wave, and gothic alternative, SALVIA’s sound channels the dark energy of bands like The Cure and Lebanon Hanover. Influenced by a childhood spent around death and mourning in Kyiv, Selivan’s music explores themes of mortality and emotional depth. Her debut single Time earned her a spot in the final of De Nieuwe Lichting 2025, marking her as a rising talent in the indie scene.
